Jumped in the truck this morning backed out of garage Reverse/360 cameras working fine. Put it in drive and just a blank screen. Song playing where it left off last night on a thumb drive. None of physical buttons work for audio. Only volume. Can't turn it off. AC working.

Stopped truck. Turned it off. Opened door. Restart. And same. So plugged in phone. CarPlay started. Waze came up. But touching screen didnt work.

All I could use was volume ****. No forward back on songs. Pulled thumb drive. Radio went to XM but still only volume. No other physical buttons worked.

Air conditioning controls worked. Just didn't know temp.

Any thoughts? Disconnect battery?

I have never had any issue with unit

It is running 3.2 (from Ford) since their last update.

2016 Lariat 3.5 Eco with 40k on it.

When mine did it, it started working again the next morning. So, you may have to leave the truck sit long enough for something to actually shut down. Whatever it was, takes more than just shutting it off and opening the door. You may be able to shorten the wait time by disconnecting the battery and draining all capacitors or waiting 15 or 30 minutes.

Thanks all

I just went out to try the soft reset and it fired up without issues. Everything seems to be working fine.

It is a dreary and wet Friday morning. So maybe it just didn't want to get out of bed (like my daughter for school).

My 2018 does it once in a while and I just hold the power button and fast forward button down for 5 seconds and it resets it without shutting off truck.

My 2016 goes through phases where it does that. I just keep doing the reset (push and hold power and seek forward for 6 seconds) each time and after a few days, it stops. It's been perfect for a few years now.
