Default Can Android Auto connect wirelessly?

Can Android Auto connect and use the apps feature wirelessly to my phone or will I need to use a USB cable? I have a Pixel 3 and Sync 3.3

I know Apple CarPlay won't because Ford does not support it yet. So I bet AA won't either.

Nope, you'll need a cable. Only company I know of with wireless CarPlay/AA is Mercedes.
