Shortly after Christmas, I became the happy new owner of a black 2016 RCSB F-150 XL with the Sport package and the 3.5 NA V-6. After having a GMC Canyon for the previous eight months (my only non-Ford vehicle in fourteen years of driving), I am beyond elated to be back in a Ford and back on this forum!
In early 2016, I decided I could no longer tolerate the unusually painful seats in my 2013 RCSB F-150. My wife and I talked and shopped around, and for a variety of reasons, decided to give the new GMC Canyon a try this past April. I do not wish to denigrate an entire vehicle line or brand because of my singular experience, but after four trips to the shop in eight months, not to mention the lack of quality control regarding the interior of my particular truck, we decided it was time to admit the Canyon was a mistake for us. We were very lucky to find my current F-150 at a heavily discounted price due to rebates, and after 1,800 miles, I cannot say enough good things about this truck. The fit and finish is terrific, interior very quiet at speed, and the newer truck handles much better than my prior 2013. Though I initially had doubts about the NA 3.5, it has plenty of power for a SC truck, and I’m getting incredible fuel economy despite the engine not being fully broken in. And the seats—they are much better than the 2013! Lesson learned—if the seats give way to discomfort, don’t change brands, change seats!
I look forward toward contributing to this forum again, and will enjoy browsing the myriad of mods again as well! Any helpful comments are certainly welcome—particularly from those of you who left Ford only to come back like myself!

Welcome back, great looking truck, nothing cooler than a black F150!
Except the 80% of other F-150's that are also black lol
Sometimes I wish I would have picked a different color because there are so many black ones out there

My personal preference is blue (or Blue Jeans as Ford calls it)--but the price was too good to pass up! The truck is beautiful but so hard to keep clean!
Very nice and welcome back to the brand!! I dig black F-150's and am on my 3rd one (2016 KR Shadow Black w/Caribou accent).
Curious what does the "Sport" mean...is it primarily an appearance package or do you get different performance options, wheels, etc? I've seen a few XLT Sport models around lately and they look nice...

I'm not completely knowledgeable about what the "Sport" package includes, but my truck has a good bit more than a completely stripped down XL. The nicer looking 17 inch wheels for one, fog lights, color matched bumpers. Power locks and windows, cruise control, steering wheel audio and bluetooth phone controls. Ford offers so many packages and trim levels that I honestly cannot keep up with half of them. I'm just happy I have a few modern amenities in my vehicle for a change! I'm used to the barest of the bare!
