Exactly buy a 350 if u are that worried, my 05 liaret is 7700 pounds worth of weight with camper and crap in the bed total is 7200 pounds I've never had a issue been pulling with it for 10 years know never once had a issue and I just know added the roadmaster active suspension it handles the load exceptional well
Who knows but look at it this way f550 roll back there's no way the payload is over 7-8k pounds and they load f350 crew cab diesael 4x4 trucks on there I'm sure that's in the 9-10k pound range my point is there is a lot overloaded trucks out there I see f250 pulling huge fifth wheels with 2500 pounds of pin weight most 250 I've had in the shop are around 2100-2300 pounds of payload
If you have a family or drive on the road where other family's are, don't exceed your payload. It's dangerous and puts yours and others lives at risk.
My twin 3 year olds and 4 year old thank you.
