Default CAI Woes. Causing CELs

I've got a 2019 F150 Platinum with 3.5 Ecoboost, Max Tow Pkg., 6.5' bed. I've added a K&N CAI and am getting several CEL codes occasionally. I don't understand how these could be related, but I've tried my tuner and stock tune and they both get these codes. The CAI was only on it for about 30 miles when the first one showed up.
P0456 - indicates a small leak detected in the Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) system. The evaporative emissions (EVAP) system is designed to prevent fuel vapors from escaping into the atmosphere.
P04DB - crankcase breather disconnected.
Any help is appreciated.

Recheck all of the crankcase ventilation hoses/tubes for being properly connected. Here's some additional information on the P04DB code:

SSM 48322 - 2017-2019 F-150 - 3.5L EcoBoost - Illuminated Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) - Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P04DB

Some 2017-2019 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTC P04DB stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). Regulatory monitor for DTC P04DB is sensitive to crankcase system pressure concerns such as oil level indicator o-ring seal, incorrectly installed oil level indicator, crankcase hose, vacuum hose disconnects and oil fill cap o-rings.

I got the P04DB after installing a JLT CAI on my 19 Lariat. I cleared the code but it kept coming back. Once I removed the CAI and cleared the code, it didn’t come back. It’s been about 2,500 miles since I removed it.

CAIs don't offer much advantage for all the problems they can cause and their expense. OE air intakes are much better now than they once were and all pull cold air from the front of the vehicle. I say sell it and spend the money on premium grade fuel. You'll see more increase in power from that then the CAI.

Technically, there is... the "flapper" in the filler neck provides a positive seal. That's why you need the magic funnel to fill it from a can. If that flapper jacks up, you'll get the same symptoms/codes/etc. as having a gas cap loose or leaking.

Your truck is trying to tell you that you wasted money on a completely useless mod. Take it off and the CEL will go away.

It's common for after market oiled filters to deposit oil residue from the filter onto the MAF sensor which will throw a code. Cleaning the MAF sensor can help but the code will probably return if it's from the filter. I agree with the posts above, unless you have other mods, after market CAI's offer little if any power gains and they can very often cause problems of their own. Many also don't filter incoming air as well as the stock filter and they will cause premature wear on the cylinders and rings.
