Default cable routing

I need to run a small cable from the inside rear seat cab area to under the bed to rear bumper. I see what looks like a grommet between the cab and front of the bed but I don't think that's a good idea even if I can access it, definitely asking for a leak. I don't want to drill a hole, whats the nearest access to get this cable from the back seat area to under the bed? Thanks

If you look under the truck, you will see wires going in on the side bottom. Just poke another through.

I was under there on the creeper and didn't see any, I'll take another look.

Or maybe it was a rubber grommet on the side that I poked through. Back of front door as I recall.

Mine is a 2018 Super Crew. The only grommet was midway of the front door at the side of the floor pan. That would work, but while under there I took a little harder look. There is a rear door trim piece with three push clips that go through the floor. I'll have to drill the hole just a little bigger but should work well if I can't find a better access point. Thanks for the second harder look

Watch this video at about 2:40. There is a plastic clip you can drill through.

There's a rubber plug on the rear cab passenger side under the inverter or where it would be if you don't have one. It's just over the frame and you can pull it out from the bottom. I ran my amp power cable through there. Just pull it out, cut a small slit or X in it, and you can push the cable through it some (maybe use a touch of dielectric grease to help it through) and then push the plug back in. It'll act like a grommet and stay water tight. The inverter moves out of the way easy so you can get your hand down that ledge under the carpet after you move the jack out of the way, just pop the cover and remove the little bolts.

Not mine but here's the inverter location if you don't have one which would make it even easier. The plug/hole is just forward of the ledge and directly above the frame rail.

I'll look at that, thanks.

Yep, that's the one I found on my second look, a good possibility also, thanks.
