I had the dealer change my cabin air filter @ 15k and was charged ~$45. Found that to be pretty ridiculous so changed it myself this go around at 25k.

I dropped the glove box, unsnapped the 4 clips on the cover and slid the old one out. Didn't mess with taking the top part of the glove box out.

Purchased the new one from Amazon (FP-79) for $15. I bent the new one slightly to make the angle work and was able to slide it in no problem. Clipped the cover back on and was done, took about 5 to 10mins.

It wasnt a huge deal as some have made it out to be IMO. Ill be changing it on my own from here on out.

I changed mine yesterday. After 20 minutes spent trying to reinstall the door behind the glovebox, I gave up and removed the upper section of the dash. I could not get the door to snap back in place after replacing the filter without the upper section removed.

Same here. Some people just have the "touch."

Has anyone used the K&N cross to the FP79? If so, would like your opinion on fit and how well it's filtered for you. Thanks!

I thought about getting it, but seeing how dirty the stock filter got so fast I would rather just replace that every few oil changes.

I wouldn't want an oily film getting all over my AC evaporator, or heater core!

After cleaning, you spray the filter with a "refresher", which is diethylene glycol monobutyl ether
