I guess even if it knocked out the alignment, that is far cheaper to fix than my rear being hit.

As far as driving over the bump, which I wouldn't be able to do at work, I don't think it would matter if it is 4wd or not.
I always back in and bump the curb with rear tires give that a try!

IKR! I'm super paranoid about pulling into a parking spot. Turn radius isn't that great and I'm never deep enough. 360 camera would have been nice! I've resorted to backing in whenever possible.

Question about parking. I'm worried that when I park at work, that the rear of the truck sticks out too much and someone may hit it. So I want to pull in as far as possible. There is one of those curb/concrete things in front of each parking spot. I want to come up as close as possible without touching this.

The problem is that I don't want to knock off my alignment by bumping it then backing off an inch or so to park.

Anyone know if bumping it lightly would be enough to affect my alignment?

I can get out and check multiple times every morning until I'm close enough but that is a pain. I checked out other trucks in the parking lot and must just pull up until their tire hits and then they just leave it at that.
I do alignments every day at work. While I can't say for certain, nobody can, I will say that it extremely unlikely that you are going to knock any vehicle out of alignment by "bumping" into a parking block. To reduce the chances to a minimum, and again I'll say that it's unlikely anyway, try having your tires in the most straight ahead position as possible.

The most likely effected alignment angle that could change is the "toe ahead" angle. IF this were to change significantly it would show up as an off center steering wheel.

Most import thing for you and anyone else reading this is to ROTATE YOUR TIRES every 5k miles!!! Rear tires straight forward, cross the fronts when positioning to the rear. Unless your tires are directional in which case it's just front to back and back to front.

Cheers,
Doug

This is a joke right? I really hope you never have to drive down a washboard gravel road...

Exactly what I was thinking. Potholes, speed bumps, rough roads, off road, and this dude is worried about nudging a curb!?

I do it literally every single day, and my truck drives straight as an arrow.

^This is generally true. Compared to a car, an F150 is far harder knock out of alignment.

The BCM records curb bumping events. I forget the exact number of events Ford allows, but once you go over the limit, your warranty is voided.
