Default Bumper rust?

My 2016 that was picked up in September is getting a few rust spots on the bumpers. Some are very small like pitting but one on the rear bumper is around 3/16" across with no apparent damage done to cause it, is this something warranty will fix? Anyone else having this problem?

Does not hurt to ask but I doubt it will be a warranty coverage as the rust is not a perforation or through hole rust.

Ford only covers rust that starts from the inside out. I have had this issue on every FX4 I have owned that had painted bumpers. They get pitted, stone chips, etc. and start to rust. The good thing is that the two ends come off easily and can be taken to a body shop and repainted relatively inexpensively.

The last time I had to get this done on my previous FX4 they put chip guard tape over the paint after they finished them and they looked good even when I sold it two years later. In retrospect I wish I had had this clear protective film put on my bumpers on the new truck.

No one can really help too much without photos. Could just be rail dust.

I had that and its just surface rust. A little neverdull gets rid of it. Ford will not do anything about it.
