Default Built in scales?

So, what are the chances these two new 2021 options can be retrofitted in pre-2021s?

Built in smart scale for payload and tongue.

Usually I'm all for adding features that didn't come equipped, but you're talking a different gen truck plus hardware and software.

Would be cheaper to trade in for one that already has it.

If you're just looking at tongue weight, a weight safe hitch w scale and call it a day.

thats fantastic, now i forsee you getting an alert or a warning code thats stored when you overload your payload or tow too heavy.

I get my truck weighed for free at the dump, lol

I've weighed my truck and trailer once...don't have an urge to see the weight constantly. Was more curious as to what ppl thought about the ability, or not, to retrofit.

My guess is that it will be some very complicated and over-engineered feature and be impossible to add...possibly even to a 2021.

I can see many wives getting really pissed when they go to get into the truck and the warning goes off for being overloaded. Yeah, that'll go over real well.

There will probably be a menu option to enable it only for when you want to see it.

I presume, as this comes with constantly variable dampening, you will need the sensors that comes with the ride control system.

Easy and can be done for less than a grand. Put a couple of scales in the back of the truck and break them out when needed. Bonus is that it'll be accurate rather than some extrapolated nonsense.
