Default Build times on rcsb's any better?

Just put an order in on a regular cab short bed last week before reading all the horror storys about built times and cancellations. Anyone know if they've got any better? Most of what im reading on here are about orders from last year.

Anyone have a recent build time on one? The small dealership i ordered from said 6 to 8 weeks is the norm, but i really doubt he's ordered any regular cabs because other than the white bare bone fleet trims ive never seen one.

Thanks in advance.

Build times have been fine, mine was built very fast. It all comes down the dealer allocation. If they have allocation you will get your truck quicker.

The issues you have read about were back in the 2015 model year where Ford didn't have enough RCSB frames for builds, so they were cancelled. No issues I have seen or heard about in 2016 model year.

I negotiated a price and placed a down payment on my truck April 11 2016. I called the dealership to make a small change to my special order, add the tow package and 3:55 gears, that was on April 14 2016.
I was surprised to get a call from the dealership that my truck was sitting at the dealership on May 17 2016. Picked the truck up on the 18th.
I live in Pennsylvania, truck came from Michigan.

GThanks a lot man. Great looking truck too! Are you as worried about driving a 2wd in pa as I am or are you gonna store it?

I drove a ford ranger 2wd for 15 years here in Pa. Never needed 4wd, just too much salt and plows on the roads. I did spin the tires in the snow at times. On this truck I got the electric rear locking diff just in case. I think it will be fun to use in the snow.

I ordered the locking rear end too. I figure snow tires and some weight in the back should do it, but I wasn't brave enough to order the 5.0 in a 2wd as tempting as it was.
