Nets me an extra 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, garage, backyard, front yard, larger kitchen, etc. Over my 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment (770sq ft) which isn't exactly small. For around $300 more per month.

Did you say you installed coilovers? If so what did you go with? I'm thinking about Fox 2.0's, but I'm wanting to lift towards the end of next year (hopefully). So I don't want to waste money, but then if I don't lift they'd be good. My compromise is going to be rancho quicklifts if I do coils and plan to lift sooner.

What exhaust are you running? I'm looking to run a Magnaflow 12298, change the pipe from resonator to muffler to 3", then do dual 3" pipe all the way straight out the back.

That sounds like a good deal.

No I just have a levelling kit in the truck right now. I just used a floor jack to see what 2.75" of lift using coilovers would look like. Pictures bellow to show you

As far as if your lifting your truck you could get coilovers now and stack them on top of your lift.
That would ride better than just a lift kit alone.
If your planning on doing that then I would go with the fox's because they are 0-2" of lift, so when you lift your truck just set them to about 1" to get optimal ride quality then put the strut space from the lift on top.

If you like the idea of just doing coilover and calling it good then I would probably go with the Boss coilovers from Halo Lifts (formerly F150lifts) because they can ride at 2.75" comfortably unlike most coilovers.

My main fear with coilovers is the weather here in western Canada just eats through the finishes.
That's why I'm considering doing a Eibach Pro Truck adjustable strut set at 1.4" with my Daystar levelling (1"lift) kit on top to get me up 2.4" and have a smooth yet controlled ride.
Still having troubles deciding though, always looking for advice.

The pictures will show you my daystar 2" levelling kit (ONLY NETS 1" OF LIFT) vs. having 2.75" of lift ie Halo lifts Boss coilover or the Daystar levelling kit with Eibach struts at 1.4

Ah gotcha. Must've misread somewhere.

I'm leaning heavily towards the Fox 2.0's. Although Boss is just about the same price, if not the same price, from Stage 3. I just haven't heard much about them, so they're not really in the running for me. I could just stack the spacer on top and have a nice ride until I eventually went for a full length coil over... My primary goal is getting rid of these current wheels. These chrome 18x7.5" wheels are killing me, not to mention the 275/60 highway tires that the 4x4 truck came with for whatever reason...

Wouldn't a 2.75" lift without a larger rear block cause it to look squatted in the back or would it be level?

Here's my measurements I've take to get a idea.

Leveling / Coilovers Kit Measurements

2.75" Coilovers - 40.675" front from ground to bottom of fender
Stock rear block - 40.5" (stock block = 1.25+) from ground to bottom of fender
With 2.5" rear block - 41.75" from ground to bottom of fender
^^^275x65r20 Goodyear Duratracs 98% Tread^^^

Stock Rear - centre of hub to bottom of fender 25.125"
Stock Front - centre of hub to bottom of fender 22.25"
Boss coilovers set at 2.75" - centre of hub to bottom of fender 25"

As far as the quality goes on the Boss Halo Lifts Coilovers I've read almost all the forums that I could find on them and almost every single person only had positive things to say.
Only problem I've seen from fox and Boss coilovers is the winters eats threw the finishing.
Message Alex from Halo Lifts (formerly f150lifts)

Agreed as soon as I changed the stock wheels out I was way happier. It'll look even better once I get rims.

If your going to do a lift with coilovers I'd do the Bds 4" fox coilover kit. Due to the fact they it's had lots of testing and it's tuned for that lift.

But if your doing it in 2 stages I'd personally do the 4" Rancho lift with fox coilovers set at 1" for a total of 5" of lift

Well maybe not then. Haha

I know a couple years ago everyone couldn't say enough about them, but then they dropped off the forum for the most part and everyone started talking about Fox it seems.

If I went with BDS I would opt for Zone instead. They're sister companies, with the exact same design. Basically the Zone is a BDS without the lifetime warranty. I'm leaning towards a Readylift 7" kit though. Everyone, including them, says the kit keeps a pretty much stock turning radius, which would be sweet. But I think a 7" kit on the 15+ is massive. Seems 4" is equivalent to a 6", and the 6" is equivalent to an 8" from previous year models. The 4" is the goto for this year range it seems like.

I think I'm going to save up and get some Fox 2.0 coils, then some 20x9 +20mm Fuel Beasts with 35x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Seems we can EASILY clear 35's on aftermarket rims on this range, just might have to spread the crash bars a little bit.

I removed crash bars on my truck to make the bumper look cleaner and many people on the forum have to to create more room.

I personally had a 4" on my 2011 f150 and thought it was perfect. There's pictures on page 1.
If you go bigger than a 4" lift you need to run 37" tires to not have the Chevy look (tiny little tires).
37's rob a good amount of power on a half ton not to mention mpg's.
my truck with the 4" and 35's went farther than most people, so when I got stuck I was usually screwed while off-roading.

Ah gotcha. I'm planning to stay with the stock bumper so I'm keeping mine intact.

The 4" is when it's still usable, much bigger mostly just helps for going through deep stuff. I've been leaning heavy towards the 4" lift, but I'd kinda like something taller. If I went taller I'd go with a wider wheel and tire to make it not look so disproportionate. My last truck went further on a level and 35's than most would go. Got stuck two times, both times were just a fluke and thankfully had others there to pull me out.

Exactly as soon as you go 6" and more it's a pavement princess and that's just annoying.
Spending $5000 lift, $4000 on rims and tires just to have it less useful than a levelling kit is dumb to me.
But to each is there own and I'm personally not a fan of how it looks

My 4" and 35's got me places I wish I didn't go because other people couldn't get there to get me out, minus jeeps with winches and the odd small Toyota.

I kinda want a large lift just to show it can be used. But then again, maybe not. There's so many places I can go with this truck... it's also a very different color scheme than most of the modified trucks. I can't decide if I want to go more subtle, or wilder.

Leveling kits are very useful… Aesthetically!
