Default Bug Shield

Has anyone put a hood deflector on a 2015?

I have this one:

http://accessories.ford.com/exterior...tor-10989.html

And it is absolutely the biggest piece of junk I have ever seen. Starts making a horrid noise around 74 MPH and completely blows off the truck on one side when going through a touch-less car wash.

I did have my local Ford dealership install it.

I think AVS/Lund makes one? Any experiences with those?

Yup, mine was delivered with that total piece of crap attached to the front lip of the hood. After driving it off the lot it almost fell off. Got home, took a close look, literally the most poorly designed hood deflector on the market. The way it clips over the hoods lip with the lip only protected by some vinyl tape is totally inadequate! When it almost feel off, I'm so thankful it didn't damage the paint. There are also to tiny screws mounted into what I can only describe as the most ridiculously engineered plastic push nuts that had broken apart the minute they had put these tiny screws into them. They are supposed to hold the majority of the deflector to the hood. Anyway immediately took it off, called the dealer parts department. After having researched extensively had them order in the Stampede accessories hood deflector, took the remnants of the old one in, and they gave me the Stampede one free of charge offering to install it. I took the new deflector and told them thanks but NO THANKS to the offered install. Installed it myself, Its very robust and very well designed. Have had it on for three weeks now, been through numerous high powered touchless car washes, with extremely powerful blow dryers, of course it vibrates a bit when the blower hits it but is very strong and stays firmly in place. very happy with it and would highly recommend it.

I have the avs bug shield, it mounts to the hood with 3m tape, it has been through snow, rain and carwashes with no problem.

Maybe your dealer needs to do a remount with 3m tape.

They look good, but I'm not sold on the functionality. I put a clear bra (Xpel I think) the first week of delivery, and I also put a screen behind the grille. Both work quite well for bugs.

Mine is one of those ones with the doubled sided 3M tape. Absolutely no vibration. It was already on the truck along with tinted windows when I bought her 2 weeks ago.
