Broken shell for 2015 keyfob
Hello I have a 2015 lariat with 5 button key fob.
The part that connects to the keyring broke off. I called my local Ford dealer and they told me $190 for a new key. I asked them I just need a new cover for the damn key.
I've searched Amazon and eBay and this is the closest I got.

Now I figure if I can find the exact case I can just transplant the chips into the new case with 0 hassle. I'm not sure this is 100% the case but it looks like it's easily doable.
Does anyone know of a place to get just the case for my key fob?
Thank you!

Ripped apart the key fob. Was very easy. Just used a flat head screwdriver for the last part. I'm sick of my key fob not being attached to my keychain and will just buy the eBay one.
I'm trying to find the size specs on it to make sure it fits 100%
I love the fact that this Lincoln key on eBay is all alluminum so it won't break like my garage plastic one pictured

I just logged onto my laptop and viewed the ebay post I posted earlier and found out that aluminum shell just goes over the existing key and does not replace the original key shell
So I'm back to square one in terms of finding a replacement case for it.

Or go this route and spend a little money. It's a bit more sturdy. I've already programmed one to my '15 and it works like a champ.

Yes, I did. It doesn't quite fit correctly due to the size, but you can get it in enough to complete the programming successfully.
I bought one of those aluminum shells on eBay. It looked great but it greatly reduced the range of the remote. I ended up taking it apart and carefully gluing it back together. So far no issues. This is the stuff I used
