Myobe have an issue with them not staying in? I'm going to the dealer for the second time because of it.

Nope, mine work great. I was planning on replacing them with wheel to wheel nerfs, but The wife likes them a lot.

Very handy, love mine and they work perfectly. No premature deployment yet.

I use mine all the time. I have a weathergaurd tool box and the step is great for reaching tools. No premature deployment.

So far so good with mine. They've proven very useful. But just about everyone I know out in the country with those steps on older F-150s has had them seize up if not kept clean. That results in them not extending, not heard of any that extend unintentionally.

Mine have been nothing but problems. I have an appointment next week and they will be changed out.
They once adjusted the striker, but it didn't last long. They also cleaned them out and still the problem came back

Not a box-side step, but I can recommend the AMP Research BedStep corner step. Great product for around $200 delivered.
