Default boss coilover doesnt compress

soooo ive been working all day to install my boss lift kit.

finally got the coil set and bolted to the upper housing and the lower part of the coil in place..

no im trying to jack the A-arm up to reconnect the spindle to the UCA which is where the problem is arising..

when trying to jack that up its lifting the entire side of the truck, the coil/shock is not compressing at all..

any ideas would be fantastic.

Can you loosen the spring tension by moving the retaining cup at the bottom of the spring? It looks like you should be able to rotate the cup to loosen the tension.

The lower part of the shock bolted to the lower control arm? That's not the problem but for safety. It looks ready to go up, is the coil over adjusted for what amount of lift? Also you will have to pry down some on the upper arm. It should compress the spring unless its adjusted to much.

yeah i could but currently its only set at 1.5inches of lift.. its supposed to go up to 3inch so there should be some play at the current height.

Get a friend to help pull or gently pry down the upper control arm?

Can you run to autozone and rent a spring compressor tool?
