Default Body panel alignment

It’s no secret Ford’s panel alignment is something to be desired. Today I noticed the top of my bed against glass sits lower 3/8” on one side looking from the back? Is this within acceptable “standards”? No accidents or heavy loads and I’m well within my bumper to bumper warranty. Thoughts?

Be aware somebody is going to tell you/ask/suggest that you have a full tank of gas and therefore is normal.

I don’t think it would bother me personally but I also haven’t seen it in person. You could always take it in for an inspection and maybe they could adjust it. A toolbox, bedcover, bulkhead protector, etc would also do the trick if you were considering any accessories.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to look a long time to find it. If that bothers you, I have a Silverado that will scare you to death.

Deleted. The body gap file is too large. EDIT: I forgot to mention after the file failed to upload, that the body gap document covers most gaps EXCEPT the rear cab to bed interface. You would think that the gap between the cab and bed is important.

BUT… that gap can be affected by so many variables. Terrain, a bad shock, mis-tightened bed bolts, weight in the bed, how much fuel is in the tank, a bend in the front of the bed, etc.

I am not referring to the vertical height (OPs question), but instead the horizontal separation between the cab and bed. This should be a critical measurement to avoid contact between the cab and bed.
