Default BLIS doesn't work when trailer is attached...?

My '20 XLT 302A is equipped with the BLIS w/Trailer Tow Monitoring as per the window sticker. The BLIS works just fine with no trailer....but the message comes up on the dash that BLIS is disabled every time I connect a trailer...and also
has the little icon on the dash with the slash / through it. It also states that Cross Traffic Alert System has turned off.
I did the set up on both trailers that I pull with my truck....entering all the measurements that is asked for. I pull a 5x8 aluminum box trailer for work, and also my 18' bass boat. So....with the sticker stating BLIS w/Trailer Tow Monitoring, should
I be able to use the BLIS while pulling a trailer?
It's not a huge deal....but I figure if it's a $580 option that is on the window sticker...I would like to have it working correctly. If you have this option...does it work correctly for you? Thanks.

It's disabled when you have a trailer connected. Check the manual. It sounds like it's working properly.

Ah. My bad.

Watching your video, I don't get the prompt to "Do you want to set up Blind Spot with Trailer?" with a conventional or any other kind of trailer. I towed last night. I set up that trailer in my truck yesterday morning, and no prompt. I've used the Backup Assist system and haven't found much of a use for it, but even when configuring that the BLIS isn't part of the setup. 2016 F150, YMMV.

For 2016 models the BLIS does not cover the trailer. That's why it's disabled in the 2016 F150s when a trailer is attached.

Trailer coverage started in 2017.

Thanks Rick....I will go back into the menu and see if I can edit the trailers I have programmed. As I stated...I did enter the measurements for each trailer...but maybe I'm not choosing the correct trailer when I hook them up.
I followed the steps in the manual....or I thought I did. I know it has to be something simple. .

With my '19 I have to enable Blis in 2 locations when towing, one in the towing section one in "settings" menu

Yes I believe it changed with the newer version. Mine will disable unless I specify trailer length and all that though. But it does work once I have it programmed.
