So it has a little orange light on the side mirrors, but no audible alert? Is this correct?

Correct...you can turn it off if you like.

 

I like it, but I have been in cars before that had a warning ding.. Thought that was kind of useful.

 

OMG if it had an audible warning I would absolutely shut it off.

Do you know how many people I pass, or pass me, on a daily basis?

As it is, it's just a visual reminder not to change lanes, which is all I want it to be.

 

Audible usually only sounds when blinker is on. I believe the light works the same way.. Rapidly flashes if signal is engaged.

Well that makes sense. Don't put your blinker on & try to change lanes if the thing is already blinking. If you do it makes a sound to tell you not to.

I haven't had this happen, because I always look over my shoulder before changing lanes, regardless of the technology.

 

The system doesn't make a sound. I was just saying this is a feature I have seen in other vehicles.

Also the light only blinks if you have your turn signal on; otherwise it is a solid light and not always all that noticeable in direct sunlight.
