Default Bilstein options

Ordered front and rear5100 Bilsteins, the rears were sent but the fronts were back ordered then eventually canceled. They seem to be out of stock everywhere. Anybody have any suggestions? I’d hate to mix up brands front to rear but I want the 2” of lift for leveling.
Thanks, Don

Why not wait?
I wouldn't mix brands either.

Can you swing the extra coin to upgrade to the 6112s? I was going to buy the 5100s as well until I saw the eternal back order then found the 6112s were recently released and... LOVE THEM.

That is a lot of extra coin for those. Just put new tires and wheels on so budget a little thin.

I'm in the exact same situation. AutoAnything shipped the rear shocks and NO fronts without telling me before hand. Kept the rears but finally canceled the order after getting jerked around by them for a month.

I'm going to install the back shocks and just wait for Bilstein to get their act together. Ridiculous as this has been back ordered for such a long time......

Just don't want to mix brands so I'll wait.

Unfortunately the other Bilstiens are simply out of my price range.....

Yep Autoanything here too. Guess I’ll just have to wait.

+1 one with this issue. I have it on my list to call Stage 3 and ask if the Eibach's are equally as good. I have a strong feeling they are - I may go this route.

I’ve run different brands of suspension in front vs rear on vehicles in the past and never had a problem. Buy a quality product and it won’t be an issue.

I just put Eibach struts on the front & Bilstein 5100s on the rear. Got my Eibachs from CJ pony parts as they had them in stock (& by in stock I mean verified they had them in their warehouse).

It's my personal .02 that the Bilstein & Eibach front struts are likely either the same product or very very close to being identical (maybe there's a slight valving difference). They both are apparently out of stock at the respective manufacturers..... I talked to Bilstein myself. Bilstein rep told me the factory in Ohio wasn't scheduled to run them until late Feb 18. Not long after I found out that factoid I learned the Eibach branded ones were out of stock & at least 1 vendor listed Eibach availability as sometime mid-March IIRC. I would not be surprised if Bilstein makes them for Eibach or plant in Ohio makes them for each respective company. But again, that's just a gut feeling I have. Not worth arguing over but thought I'd throw it out there.

At any rate my truck is NIGHT & DAY better riding/handling than it was with the OEM struts & shocks & I will say the front struts made 5x more of a noticeable difference in ride/handling than the rear shock swap out did. I may notice a huge rear end improvement off road but at this point I've only been mall-crawling with the new setup. I would not hesitate to put 1 brand on the front & another on the rear..... worked for me & I'm happy about that because I didn't want to wait 2, 3, or more months to get the thing leveled & riding on better than OEM stuff.

Good luck!

I'm running the Eibachs and they are great. No complaints here.
