Default Bilstein may replace?

Noticed a creak on the back drivers side a bit ago. Last night I crawled underneath to see where it's coming from. Noticed this seeping. Had the girlfriend rock the back and the sound is definitely coming from here. Just over a year old on the truck. No towing, nothing heavy in the bed, no off-roading, etc. Should I contact Bilstein? The place I got them from? I don't have a receipt anywhere, plus when I bought this I did a payment plan since money was tight. I did it through Affirm. Or should I cut my losses and buy a new shock/set? I know they have a limited "lifetime" warranty but I don't have my hopes set too high.

I would give them a call, I have used Affirm before and had no issues with other sites and warranty claims. Doesn't hurt to call and then you can let us know how the service and warranty discussion went. Good luck.

How olde are they? Only my opinion, everyone has one, but Fox makes some good stuuf.
You could try loosening the upper/lower mounts, and retighten with the weight of the truck on them. Common mistake people do, is not tighten with weight on the suspension.

Call Bilstein? or the place I got them from? I'll do so this week and see.

Absolutely. I did a quick browse this morning at Fox and for one shock would run me $320+ here in Canada. I could get two new Bilstein 5100s for that.
Now that it's seeping is it worth adjust the bolts and retightening them?

Yowza!!!! That's pretty high priced, I didn't see you were in Canada.
Yes, I'd call Bilstein, the worse that could happen is they don't replace.
I don't believe the seeping is causing the noise, could be wrong. But it wouldn't hurt to crawl under.

Be sure to ask if they will replace as a pair.

Yeah, Canada.

Not sure about the seeping causing it either, but it's definitely coming from that area. The creaking sound just started in the last few weeks. Noticed it when stepping on my side step getting in. Then noticed the wet on the shock last night.

For the squeak, I would suggest greasing things. Ive had some success with wjite lithium spray while someone rocks the truck. Otherwise youll need to remove the bolt mostly or completely to grease it and stop the squeak.

The Bilstein’s I had on my truck actually cracked around the bottom weld and leaked. I didn’t think to take pics when I picked it up from the shop when getting my lift installed.
