Default Bilstein 5160's?

anyone have any street information on these? was reading some of the 5100 threads and noticed these, but no real search results for the 5160. seem to be the cheapest remote shocks I've seen and not substantially more than the 5100's.

also looking at the 6112's for the front, I have to match and these seem like a good value. they're bigger (60mm) than a 2", but smaller than a 2.5". so they're larger than the standard from Icon and Fox. just wish they came with the top hats, but for the price you can't really complain.

I trust the Bilstein name and that's alot of value in shocks if they produce like they should. I have almost committed to the Fox's, really want the Icon's but just can't justify the extra cost, then I noticed these. like to hear if anyone has them and they're thoughts.

They are really new so you aren't going to find much about them. You might be waiting a few months before someone speaks up. Even then their opinion might not be worth much as everyone drives their trucks differently than others. The 5100s are just so widely reviewed because the cost vs the benefits is kind of a no brainer. That set up might be a good compromise for you considering how much ICONs cost.

I just ordered a set; will probably have them on in a week or so. I'll be happy to report back what happens.

Interested in this as well. Would be a good mid range option between the 5100 and fox/icons.

So I put these on my 2015 Platinum yesterday... it has the FX4 package, along with a Readylift 2.5" lift in the front and Readylift blocks in the back. It also has BFG AT KO2's 275/65-20, which are heavy 10-ply tires that were just overwhelming the factory FX4 shocks.

It is night and day difference. We took the truck on a 60-mile trip late Sunday afternoon and it was so much improved that my wife and my daughters were all asking what I had done. And this morning, at the same broken asphalt where it always skips to the left at speed, it just rolled right over without so much as a stutter. I got them at Summit Racing for $173...

Now I'm just waiting for the 6112's to come in for the front.

I'll try and get some pictures but it may be this weekend before I can get a chance.

excellent! glad they are delivering on what we thought they should. I think that's a great buy personally.

are you running the fancy little aluminum brackets or just using the worm clamps?

Do you have the part numbers you used for the front and rear?

The worm clamps for now. Can you point me to the aluminum brackets?
