Jerseymike, I replaced my back shocks with the 5100 series and what an improvement it makes.
Just ordered the 5100 series for the front. Just wondering what settings to put them on. What do you think?
It's not lifted but trying to raise the front just to make it almost even with the rear as to when I hook up my
boat the front won't raise up but be even with the back of the truck. 2016 Lariat super cab 4x4.

May I ask where you purchased these? Thanks

So, I drove to work this morning for the first time after installing the shocks. There is a particular railway crossing that I go over that causes the rear of the truck to kick out to the left. As a result, I've had to crawl over that crossing.

But, today the coast was clear as far as traffic goes so I crossed the tracks at a normal speed. The truck did not kick out at all! It behaved very much like my old 2010 used to. So, this was the ultimate test of the new shocks and they passed with flying colors. Definitely impressed with the improvement.

I had the dealership put a full set of Bilstein 5100 on my 2015 FX4 Screw as soon as Bilstein released them for my truck , I kept the truck at stock height all around but gained a little less than 3/4 in in the stance height . To date the money spent has proven to be great . What a positive difference .

EDIT: Ignore the following question, I just ordered the 5100's from Stage 3. I'm tried of being wishy-washy.

I hate to ask this, because it's been brought-up before, but I'm getting ready to purchase today/tomorrow. I thought the 5100's were better for a lifted truck, and 4600's were better for a stock truck?

I'm either buying 5100's, 4600's or Fox 2.0's. I get confused on this site too much, but I HATE the stock shocks.

Are the 5100's any better than the 4600's on a stock truck? Fox 2.0's better than Bilsteins? I don't think any of these choices are bad, I just want to make 1 purchase without too much regret. I've not had to change out the shocks on my previous F150's, so I relying on opinions on here.

You could run 5100s on stock height. I ran 5100s and 4600s on various trucks. I like the 5100s a bit better than 4600 (seems to dampen better). Have yet to run Fox.

What a timely post. I replaced the rear OEM shocks on my '16 Screw just this past Saturday with Bilstein 5100's. The ride before wasn't terrible (for a solid rear axle vehicle) but there is quite a noticeable improvement with the Bil's. Serious bang for the buck upgrade.

I could not find a 4600 application for the front axle on the '15+ trucks. Since I wanted to do all four dampers, I went with 5100s on all four corners and installed the fronts at their lowest (factory ride height) setting (there are 5 ride height settings on the fronts, up to a max. 2.1" lift). I had already lowered the rear suspension ride height 1" and wanted to preserve a little forward rake for hauling and light towing.

Installing these 5100s was one of the first things I did to my truck after purchasing it through Ford's Certified Pre Owned dealer inventory program. The 5.0 XLT 4 X 2 was just 10 months old, was a former Enterprise rental and had 16,500 miles on it. The factory shocks are a joke unless you want the ride and handling of a 1970 Cadillac Coupe De Ville.

The 5100s restore the truck's ride to firm-but-not-harsh. Handling improves from nose-dive-under-braking, obvious understeer to a far more-neutral balance. Investment in high quality shock absorbers is a no-brainer.
