While true, you also have to look at what your time is spent doing towing vs normal driving. I spend 1/4 of my miles towing. I seriously considered upgrading to a 250 when I got a new truck. Talking with a lot of people basically what it boiled down to, the 250 doesn't have all the features and luxury of the 150 and a stiffer ride. So are you going to base your decision on which truck to buy on how you spend 1/4 of your time, or 3/4 of your time. I went with the 150 because the 3/4 of my time was more important.

I have the Bilstein 5100 and it actually improved my towing. Plus I get less travel of the rear going up and down when adding and removing the trailer. There is or was a whole lot of travel on the rear when I hitched up and I am no where near tongue capacity.

Great thread, what do you guys think about fox 2.0 on the rear and 5100s on the front or is it best to keep it consistent?

I had fox 2.0 on rear I changed all four when I bought my 5100s and I'm glad I did Bilsteins ride 100% better than fox's

Bilsteins will be going on mine at 12K miles (next tire rotation). Spent some time on mountain forest roads this weekend. Washboards as you can imagine. Back end was hopping all over the place even at low speed.

Just got done installing this on my '15, had to pull the AS level kit out first and let me tell you something, that was a **$#^# bitch *****!!
Second, before I did the fronts I did the rears and took the truck for a drive. That was almost night and day better. Now with the fronts installed I can't really tell a whole lot of improvement but it is slightly better. The steering for sure feels tighter and there is less body roll.
Now, I installed mine at the "1.75 lift height as I did not want the bed to look like it's squatting. Truth is it looks pretty much exactly as it did with the "2 AS level kit.

There BFG 275/65R20 (2 sizes bigger than stock.). Very happy with it. I was hesitant at first to go with the 2.1 setting, but after reading post on here I decided to go with it. Glad I did, its perfect. I haven't measured it yet, but it looks like a small about of rake still exists, witch is okay with me. I have also heard that they do settle some after install, so probably better to go a little higher than you think you want.

I don't tow a lot right now, but if I do I will be installing a Air Lift system. This way I can keep the truck level.

Those are stock wheels, +44??? Any rubbing or trimming? I've talked to 3 different installers about tire size for the 2018 I ordered and 2 said I can only go 275/60R20 without rubbing or trimming. One said 275/65R20 will fit with no rubbing. I called Discount Tire and they said bring the truck in when I'm ready and they'll try both.

This is for a RWD Platinum, not sure if that is the difference.
