Default Better deal when model changes?

Hi All,

I'm wondering how much extra $$ one can negotiate by timing a new f150 purchase specifically at the year end when a new update is coming out? Example, buying a 2017 because in 2018 they are getting refreshed.

Anyone have some experience?

Thanks!

This is common and it happens, but really the difference in the '18 isn't all that great, and even when a model change substantially, the deals aren't too far off from the normal thing when a new model year is on the lot. In fact, you are still competing with lots of other people who feel the same way--get in there while they're trying to get rid of some cars. The real issue for me would be finding what I want/need. If all you want is something that looks like a truck and can get camping gear or bikes in the back, you'll be fine. But I can already see there are very few '17s available right now in the SoCal region that would fit my desires/needs, and almost nothing when you factor in color.
