yes, the 2.7 is now the base engine and depending on your trim level it can cost you up to $3500 if I recall correctly to step up to the 3.5.

Wow. I understand why people go with the 2.7 for the price difference and of course the extra mpgs. But just curious is the 2.7 more expensive than the 5.0?

No. It's the base engine now, like I said.

The 5.0 is about a $1600-1800 option depending on trim level.

I just ordered a tune from Unleashed.

I have to say I'm a little nervous running it in a 62k dollar truck. Just don't want the engine to go pop.

The 2.7 is not the base engine. The 3.5 n/a is the standard engine.

Unless you are referring to the lariat trim, where the 2.7 is the "base" engine.

The 2.7 is a 795 addition charge, the 5.0 is additional 800 and the 3.5 is an additional 1200. This is on xl-lariat trims.

If you have a King ranch/limited that has the 5.0 standard and you want the ecoboost 3.5 you'll pay the additional 400 dollar difference.

Platinum comes with the 3.5 eco standard so there is no engine to upgrade, and you cannot downgrade.

This went off course. Looking for tuners that are actually worth a grain salt.

True but no point in mis-information, regardless of the thread

Livernois is suppose to be the best for the eco's, and they have outstanding support.

Unless someone else has came along and proven their track record I wouldn't trust to many people that just pop up with an abundance of HP/TQ, it won't do much good when your engine blows up.

But there are many threads on tuning/tuners already.
