I've had 2 5.0 and now the 3.5 eb. You can't really go wrong.

I'd get a model 2015 and newer vs the 14. The 15's are aluminum bodies and hopefully that means a longer lasting truck as well as 6-700 lbs lighter.

i agree 100%. the cost difference vs the utility of the crew cab has put me squarely into crew cabs only from here on out.

I owned a 2015 3.5 and just traded for a 2018 last week with the 2.7. My observation so far are I doubt you could tell the differences daily driving at normal speeds. The big differences are loaded and towing. The 3.5 has long legs and tons of torque for towing. I was one of the guys that got 22.5 highway with the 3.5 and always over 20 combined so I expect the 2.7 to be at least that good. As good as the 3.5 is I cannot see a reason to buy the V8, and that makes me sad. I love the sound and personally think a truck should have a a V8. After driving a turbo 6 for almost 4 years I can't see a reason to recommend a v8.

What makes it more robust? And the cyclone motor was designed from the get got to be turbo also.
