Default Bedside Steps

Hey y'all,

On my older truck ('09 XLT) I had a short bed 5'6" and Ford didn't have the option then to have bed steps so when I got the new truck I thought they wouldn't have side steps for the short beds.
But after looking online and seeing this, I wanted to see if any of y'all had installed these bed side steps on their truck?

I have installed running boards before so it shouldn't be too bad but i just wanted to see how hard y'all think it would be to install? and if there are any instructions online for the install cause I haven't found anything yet.

I added a 'corner' step instead of on the side. I felt it much more usable.

AMP Research BedStep. $200, shipped.

Very easy to install, even by myself.

Good luck!

I have the factory Ford bed side steps and really like them. Very sturdy and useful for a shorter guy like me. Would I have bought them if they didn't come with the truck..... probably not, they are just to expensive.

I think these side steps are great, really sturdy.

I am going to buy a set to put on my truck, just looking for a great deal since Ford is really proud of them.

I ordered mine with the side bed steps, 6.5" bed. I also got the tailgate step, and its so easy and useful, I'm thinking of taking off the side steps...I thought they'd be good for my toolbox, but the tailgate step is just so handy. Plus without the side ones, will have a cleaner look and shed some weight.

Update. I took off the side steps and definitely like the look better off. Plus those suckers weigh in at 30 lbs each!
