Default BedRug Installation Question

I have the full BedRug for my 2018 Lariat. I've reviewed as many installation videos as I can find, and they all kind of fast forward through the zipper assembly. At the very end of the zipper, the tails are sewn back over themselves. With a little bit of "relief" I could probably get the slider to continue around to the end, but I don't want to tear the seam. Anyone else dealt with this? Force it around or leave it as far as it will go?

I dicked with that on mine for 20 minutes. I finally just said the hell with it and left it as shown in your pic. I don't see how you can flip that zipper to close all the way.

Thanks, Mark.

Well, I had my lovely bride look at it and mess with it, and then she noticed that, while the tails were sewn down, there were no end stops on the chains to keep the slider from coming right off. So, I'm leaving it as shown in the picture and we'll just leave this three-post thread for a future installer to look up.

Cheers,

That's funny. Believe it or not, I had my sweet wife look at the zipper as well. She said pretty much what your wife said, and advised me to leave it as is.

That is as far as the zipper was designed to go. Don't force it any farther, as (beside the bend) there are no stops to keep the zipper from coming off. Makes more sense when you turn the entire Bedrug right side up.

It would have been nice if BedRug stated such in their installation instructions.
