Default Bedrug Bubble

I have had a Bedrug in my truck since June, and I have noticed the tailgate cover is bubbled-up in three places across the tailgate. Has anyone experienced this? I was going to sent it back under warranty, but they make you ship it yourself, and they couldn't guarantee me there was anything wrong with it. Pics are hard to see.

I don't have a bedrug yet but I'm buying one for myself for Christmas. I'm assuming when you installed it it was laying flat? Have you tried pulling up the adhesive/velcro and laying it down flat again? It looks like it grew and needs to be put back down again with some new stickey.

Do you have a bed cover? Have you tried letting it sit out in the sun all day? The warmth should make it more pliable and more likely to settle.

I installed a bedrug on my truck and I couldn't get the adhesives to stick no matter what on my tailgate. I even added extra mounting tape that I had but it still wouldn't work. So to fix it, I just removed the screws on the face of the tailgate that's currently hidden under your mat. I would think this would help get rid of the bubble look you seem to have. Here are some pics to show you what I mean! I did this and now my bedrug isn't going anywhere now!

I would suggest a couple of extra velcro strips may be helpful to hold it down.
Mine lays nice and flat.
If you have issue with the velcro not sticking, try some Adhesion Promoter:

As for the tailgate screws holding the mat in place - looks OK to me. However the screw heads will be rough on the knees or other things that should be protected by the rug.

I just installed my new Bedrug yesterday and so far everything is flat. I left it out in the sun for a bit to help heat it up and it installed just fine. Perhaps try to lift it again and reposition it. There should be plenty of maneuver room with the Velcro strips.

I know it's not pretty but it works for me, also the screws are below the surface of the surrounding bedrug. So there is not really an issue for damaging things or it doesn't hurt my knees, but I honestly don't spend a whole lot of time back there anyways lol. I just got it so my truck bed wouldn't be scratched up by the tools I carry back there anymore. Just trying to offer a suggestion to op that's all.

It's been in the truck since June. Its the sun that I believe caused the bubbling. Bubbling, warping, whatever; it just doesn't sit flat on the tailgate. They give you 2 types of velcro: heavy duty, and medium duty. The medium duty should not be used, as it doesn't stick long. Anyone thinking about buying one should ditch the medium duty stuff and buy HD. Save yourself the headache.

Adding the female side of the velcro to the bedbug isn't a great idea because it doesn't stick well to the foam. Bedrug sews their female side on. I was just looking to see if anyone else was experiencing this.
