I saw Rad Truck Straps and thought they looked useful, but they're kinda expensive. I decided to make my own. I have about $90 into the project vs $300 for 4. The bolt hole on the straps is significantly off center, so I thought a guide was a good idea. I reused the OE plate. There is no tie down point on the mount, but I bought two hook straps and left the fixed end on the strap after cutting off the hook. It's not perfect, but it'll work fine for me. I'm a light duty hauler.

@Gus_Mahn How’s this holding up? I just ordered the guide plates from your Amazon link. I think I’ll tackle this this weekend.
The guy in the video has the straps mounted 180 degrees to yours. Do you like them oriented the way you have them, or if you did it again, would you flip them to match the video?

The back ones face down. I feel it matches the things I strap better: lawn mower, gas cans, totes, step stool... The front faces up. It matches what I haul in the front: dirt bikes, quads, furniture. No problems so far, but I'm not a heavy duty hauler.
Very neat and clean install. Looks factory! Word of warning from my own experience, on any strap that is "stored" on the ratchet. With that much strap on there, they loosen up with use. The spool of strap has too many wraps so when you tighten them, the spool tightens first few layers until you can't tighten any further. With use, the spool moves and strap loosens. Just keep an eye on them when using.
