Mine are just as difficult to push in at 10000 miles as the day I bought it. I don't use them a ton but I've use them enough to losen up if they were going to. I still love them though.

There is also the Bestop TrekStep that is about $40 cheaper than the Amp step which also gets good reviews:

I do admit I've driven away with it deployed (twice). It's still plenty high it won't ground out.
did you leave the bumper bracket on or off? it didn't say anything on the directions. I mightve over torqued the top screw that goes into the threaded clip 16 ft lbs. also mine didn't come with an extra 15mm bolt for the support bracket.

For a 2009-2014 or new model?

I have the Amp bed step on my truck too. Only issue I had with it was when it was very cold out and covered in snow. Doesn't happen very often so I don't worry about that.

I'm not 25 anymore and as these trucks get higher from the factory, the harder they are going to be to get into the back of them.

Installed one on my 15 and love it. Too old and round to get in and out of the truck bed. Works as advertised.

am I missing the 15mm bolt that goes into the support bracket? I only got 2. Im getting conflict information, the printing instructions says use 21mm bolt for the support bracket but the official amp video is saying use a 15mm.
