Bed separation?
Hey guys I have a 2017 crew 4x4 and I was crawling around the bed and noticed a little extra light coming up from the bed on the seams around the wheel jump and the front of the bed. I know these are not drain holes. My question is this ok?
Coming from a ‘09 Tundra, the gaps in my ‘17 F150 bed looked like shoddy workmanship to me in comparison. The gaps were still quite large after having Line-X premium installed. I ended up caulking the seams in order to avoid dust getting all over everything under the Diamondback tonneau. We do a lot of road trips with long drives in dusty off road and dirt road conditions. Add the ridiculous tailgate gaps and the F150 bed was really hard to seal up. I know “it’s a truck,” but modern trucks aren’t just farm and work vehicles anymore.

So take it back to your dealer and ask them to fix it. You said "wheel well jump and front of the bed". I agree the wheel well jumps should be sealed, but not the front of the bed. My poor comprehension skills befuddle me once again.

Not something I would plug up because it's made that way. It's not shoddy workmanship......
