Post is 3 years old...

Also it's probably one of those racks that holds the front tires on the dirt bikes.

Where is this written?! Would like to have that in writing...

Wow. Thanks. I'll probably have to bring my own bolts to the LineX guys. And not sure if LineX monitors these threads like other companies, but... Your sales guys are saying it doesn't matter if you reuse them. Apparently, Ford says it does...

Does anyone know the reason that the bed bolts are one time use only? Mine have been out twice now... once for Linex and then again when the bed was removed for some body repairs. I checked the torque on them and they seem fine.

Would anyone have an answer for this question? Thank you!

Ford never reuses any metal threaded fasteners in their Work Shop Manual. Its a corporate policy of some sort. Generally there are really very few fasteners that can't be re-used as long as they are not torque-to-yield installed (such as cylinder head bolts) and in good shape. In some cases you might need to re-apply a thread-locker as many of the fasteners are treated with a one-time use locking agent.

Thank you for explaining. I was planning on using Loctite Blue 242, so I should be fine.
