Default Bed liner fasteners?

What type of fasteners are typically used in these indented knock-outs to secure a bed liner to the tailgate corner post? I've pulled the liner out slightly and it looks to be a 1/2" hole. Does it have a threaded insert in the hole? TIA

That looks to be a good site for those type of fasteners, but I am hoping to get something that's easily removed.

Yes, it is a Dualliner. I called them the other day,, but they weren't any help. I installed it new 5 years ago. I just now pulled the flange back enough to get a better look at the holes. The top and bottom are clear holes with no threaded inserts. The middle one, I'll have to look at with an inspection mirror. I'll just get 4 stainless toggle bolts to take care of both sides and leave the middle as it is.

Is the bed liner having an issue by there not being any fasteners there? Just curious, if it has been trouble free for the past five years, why mess with it.

Well, if I ever get a load of mulch, it will tend to creep down in that space between the liner and the body. The last few times I've gotten mulch, I put painter's tape over the opening.

Those are for mounting things like the swing out boxes, tail gate extension etc. There is no specific hardware dedicated to hold the plastic liner tight to the rail. However, all of that is accessible from behind the tail lights, which are super easy to remove. You'll likely have to be creative with some hardware.

I have that duraliner as well. I’ve carried good loads of raw dirt and mulch before in mine, and besides pulling the mat every now and then to clean, I’ve also pulled the sides once after a few years of being installed just to see how the paint is holding up out of curiosity. Plastic liners are pretty notorious for all the rubbing and all on the floor but the sides are usually not affected. Was curious how it would look between unsealed bed of the truck and multiple pieces of the liner. Even though one side doesn’t sit perfectly flat near the tailgate, there was nothing to see. No crazy rubbing or unordinary dirtiness behind them.

Back to the dirt….I will say these trucks don’t take to being significantly overweight like past ones I’ve had. All the unsafe, bad for the truck, etc aside, every once in a blue moon I’ll do it if it’s a very short slow trip not in traffic. This one didn’t handle heavy weight nearly as well as past half tons I’ve had. Thankfully nothing broke but it sure showed it’s displeasure far more than other trucks. Enough that I don’t want to exceed rated capacity even slightly at all in the future, where as other trucks it wasn’t any big deal outside the obvious squatting and driving characteristics and all. Be careful with that on this gen!

I did research one of the aftermarket bed extenders and they had a quick connect in the assembly to mount on the tailgate post. I'm not getting an extender, but just wanting to see if they used the same holes, which they didn't.
That's a good point about removing the taillights, though. I'll do that when I get back to it.
