I did have those s&*^^% headlights and then I got leds. Aimed them and happy with the improvement. Still not sure what that has to do with bed lighting though.
@Daifeichu What method did you use to aim your headlights?

There's a wall on a building at work that has level ground in front of it. I parked my truck x feet from that wall, measured up the wall x feet and put tape at that mark. Both lights had to go down. Real easy, I just forget the measurements right now but just do a search and you'll find them.

I am happy with my headlights, and I went with LED lights under my Leer top. Great lighting. Otherwise, I would have gone with the LED strip lights, like I did on my boat. Very happy with those.
Well, I finally got to do the install of my light kit while up at camp this past weekend. I got one of the strip light kits off Amazon that someone posted previously.
I ran two lines in loom from the battery, straight along the chassis and then up through the right, rear OEM light knockout. I made the splice connection and tied everything up under the liner above the BoxLink/Swing Case latch. Because my Peragon cover goes above on top of the bed rails, I actually stuck the lights right to the lip of the OEM plastic bed rail covers.
Here's a shot with the lights out:
And lit:
My Swing Cases don't really block any of the light, either. I'm very happy with the results.
Despite my concerns about leaving them on, I didn't get into wiring in timers or the like at this point. If it's an issue, I left enough wire up near the battery to wire one in with an enclosure in the engine compartment.
It actually took me about 8 hours over 2 days to get them installed.
