Default Bed lengths

i have a 2016 super cab with a 6.5 foot bed thinking of trading it in for a super crew with a 5.5 foot bed. Question for people that have had both is the one foot difference a big deal or not

No one can answer that but you. What do you use the bed for? If just throwing things in the back now and then, no 1 foot won't make a difference. A dirt bike or ATV, maybe depending on the length.

I had the 5.5’ on my 2010. I often found that I did not have enough space for road trips, camping, and some of the trips to Home Depot.
I have the 6.5’ on my 2015 and just ordered a 2018 with the 6.5’ bed.
The cons are an even larger turning radius, and slightly more difficult to park.
The pros are more room, more stable towing due to the longer wheelbase.
For me, for the time being, this is a deal-breaker.

A person can always rent a trailer , I went with the 6.5 and still wish it was an 8 ft bed at times but never wished it was smaller . I still have to rent a trailer now and again

why not get a screw with the 6.5 bed, best of both worlds.

Didn't think I would like the 5.5' bed- but it never really has bothered me. These trucks have horrible turning radiuses.

You've owned a truck for several years and can't evaluate how shortening the bed a foot would impact you?
