I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out. i bought a used 2016 F150 a month or so ago. I went to remove the cleats in the bed, but there was no key on the key ring. So i called the dealership where i got it (non-Ford Dealership) and asked them about the key. They said everything they had that came with it when they got the truck is everything i got. So i went to ford and they want $30 for the key (they come in a pair).

So i'm wondering if anyone might have S15 as their lock and could make me a copyof their cleat key and mail it to me. i would pay for everything. i'm sure it would be a lot less than the $30 the dealership wants.

I think you can remove the 4 screws in the mounting plate and then remove the lock cam if you just want to get them off.

 

Dang, I didn't get a key with mine either. I should ask the dealer. maybe they will get me one. I don't know about $30.

I can't really think of any reason to remove them.

 

I am going to get a spray in bed liner and thought it would probably be easier for them if they were removed. Plus you never know if you might need to remove them sometime.

It's the little pad lock key that comes with the truck. it will have an s## on it. i looked at my lock so that's where i got the S15 from
