Default Bed Cargo Lights

Does anybody have any picks on how to get the lens cover off the cargo lights in the bed of the truck? I installed a bedrug and I want to tuck the rug behind the lens cover. I tried prying on it, but no luck popping it off. I would appreciate any guidance.

Glad you asked that question as I have one on order and was thinking about the cargo lights.

I'd be curious as well. I have a camper top with a LED dome light that I would like to wire into the bed lights.

Lay down under the truck and reach up. Plastic push tab holds the light in place. Very easy to remove.

I just installed the bedrug in mine. I personally think the bedrug is to thick to tuck inside the lens caps. Once that material is tucked in there you will not be able to fit lens cap back on and if you are able to squeeze it on, you will not have enough purchase to latch.

Now with all that said, I have not actually tried to tuck the bedrug into LED caps. But have installed 3 of them. Would love to be wrong on this and learn a new trick.

I wanted the tucked looked also, but settled for trimming. At first was a little bummed I couldn't figure out a more custom look solution. But to be honest after sometime the trim looks just fine.

I plan on messing with that tomorrow. So if I am successful, I will post the results.

Please check back tomorrow. My bedrug will be in this week, and I will want to hear about your results...
