Default Battery is 4 years old, replace?

The date on it is 2019, no issues with it, my previous Tahoe had nothing but battery problems so Im always trying to get ahead of it now.

Waste of money to replace it at this point in time?

replaced mime at a little over 4 years. Main reason is that our truck is our camping vehicle with long trips and I prefer the peace of mind of not have an older battery giving me issues during a trip. I replaced with an Odyssey.

No need to replace a 4 year old battery just because. I've had multiple batteries that lasted 7+ years. Battery life can vary a lot based on how you drive, exposure to extreme temperatures, whether you keep the water topped up (if it's FLA), and quirks of the specific vehicle. If it worries you, have it tested or check the resting terminal voltage to see if it's holding a charge.

Battery's don't get better with age. Depending on your environment, you could be left stranded on that one hot or cold day. JMO. My batterry's, based on experiences, get changed every 3 years, regardless.

I bought my truck in April of 17 and it still has the original battery which performs great. The first time it slightly turns over hard, I’ll
replace it. There’s no sense wasting money!

Can't answer that question, until you do a load test on it. If it passes, then total waste of money, yes. Anyone that replaces a battery based on time only is usually throwing money away.

My OE Motorcraft battery is from 2018. I keep it on a maintainer because sometimes it doesn't get driven for a month.

Replaced my oem AGM at six years. Auto S/S had stopped functioning about a month prior. It’ll give you signs for a while before it would leave you stranded.

If all functions are working, I wouldn’t bother yet.
