Default Base stereo HU replacement

Today I am traveling to look at a new 2017 XLT with the Sport package and no nav. The only thing I don't like about it is the small dash screen.

Can the head unit be swapped out for a new aftermarket one with a bigger screen and still retain all the stock features?

I would be interested to hear about this as well. The radio seems to be pretty integrated so I'm hesitant to make any changes myself.

seems to be at least 3 options you can use with Double Din radios

IMO, the biggest challenge is finding a HU that will fit, most are about 7-8" (or more) in depth. the structure in the center dash limits you to about 6.5", but you might be ok with the HU sticking out an inch from the bezel, I don't know.

One would think with this being Fords best selling vehicle the aftermarket would offer more selections.
