Question Backup Camera Wiring problem

I have a 2015 SCAB F150 Eco-Boost Lariat. I also mounted a Four-Wheel-Camper (This is the brand name of a popular Pop-Up Pickup Camper) to the bed. The tailgate had to removed for the camper and hence I lost the center mounted backup camera. The Lariat I have has the 360 4-camera system. Per a suggestion I actually read on this forum, I purchased a new camera and wiring harness from Ford and mounted it near the license plate. Now, when I put the truck in reverse the camera works just fine. All good to this point. The problem I am having is when I engage the 360 4-camera system while parked are going very slow, the backup camera is still not functional. The front and side cameras work fine. So the bottom line is the backup camera does work when in reverse but does not when in 360 camera mode. I assume it is a wiring issue. The replacement harness has about 5 pigtails on it, one I connected to the camera but the others are not connected to anything. They would normally go to the tailgate release, tailgate light and whatever else is in the tailgate. I assume I could fix the problem by shorting out something in the unused wiring pigtails. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance to any suggestions.

Is that an actual picture of the camper you installed?

I think you are on the right track, but I don't know exactly what to do. Perhaps someone can supply a wiring diagram. I expect that it somehow detects the tailgate is not closed/latched and refuses to show the image. On my XLT, backup camera works regardless of tailgate position. Perhaps someone else with 360 can confirm it turns off if tailgate is down.

I have the 360 camera and it works with the tailgate down, it simply shows the trailer hitch.

Thanks to the folks that verified the 360 camera works with the tailgate down. Answers that question at least. What is the white LIN wire? Probably something obvious but not sure.

How did you secure the camper ? where did you install the eye bolts? Did you use the existing tie down points? and after 2 years how has the camper held up?
