Default Backup Camera and Rain

Been kind of rainy weather around here lately (Va. Beach) and I've noticed that when I backup my truck the camera lens is covered in water droplets making it almost impossible to see what is behind me. My 2013 F150 had a backup camera too and this was never an issue in that truck. The camera in the older style model was pointed more downward then the newer style trucks which are more vertical.

Has anybody else noticed this in their 2015 trucks? Any ideas on a solution? Maybe rainex the lens?

I've noticed this in every car or truck with backup camera I have ever driven.

My 2012 was not nearly as bad as the 2015.

My Tundra, my Flex, my dad's Infinity, my brothers Audi. There all the same. I'm in the habit of a quick walk by wipe with my index finger before getting in if the weather has been bad. I'm hot sure how well the VW pop out camera works but if the biggest problem in my day is a water drop on my backup camera, I'm having a bloody good day.

See this is what I argue when people say global warming is bad... when it ceases rain I can finally stop worrying about water drops on the backup camera on my V8 pickup.
