Default Backup Camera - No Image

Having a problem with my backup camera on my 3 day old 2016 XLT. Was working fine for the first two days of ownership, but now when I put it in reverse, I just have a black screen? The little picture of the truck is still in the corner, just no actual image is displaying from the camera.

Anyone have any thoughts? I was wondering if it may be a loose fuse or something like that since it had been working fine previously. Is that possible? If so, would anyone happen to know what fuse to look for, and even more importantly.....where the fuse panel is located?

Welcome to any other suggestions. Would love to avoid a trip back to the dealer with only 60km on the odometer.

Check for something covering the camera
Check the connector under the bed, does the tailgate lock still work?

Tailgate lock is working, but I crawled underneath to check the wiring. Everything was connected, but I made sure they were all snug anyway, and the camera started working, so maybe it was just a loose connection.

Thanks for the suggestion jd50i!

Anything still covered by a warranty I wouldn't touch. There may be an issue you're not aware of and any exploring could have some negative results. It just a recommendation but I would leave it to the dealership to fix. It's their responsibility anyhow.

Shortride, I agree 100%, but I was just ticked off and wanted the camera working. It was a weird feeling backing out of my driveway without the camera. It was like I was 16 years old again, learning to drive with mirrors, inching my way back. If it happens again, it'll be up to the dealership right away. Got to get the SSM done for the Sirius radio reception anyway, but was planning to wait until the 1st oil change.

That connector is made to be touched, it is for removing the tailgate which is a normal function. There is even a cap for the connector that comes with the truck when you leave the tailgate off.

Actually I'm still a little bit old school. I love modern technology but I always am able to depend on turning and looking over my shoulder while backing up. I personally thing some of the newer technology has spoiled some drivers and cause them to loose some of the basic skills in some cases.

I don't think it's the connector. I have mine disconnected as I removed the tailgate, and the backup screen is blue in that case.
