Backup Camera Image
I find my 2015 way better than my 2012 F150 was.
I usually wipe mine with my thumb when I get out if the roads were dirty and my truck was wet (dew in the morning or evening).
None taken.
It is clean and was clean when received. Cleaning it does not change the image quality.
It seems it needs an adjustment in the contrast settings. If you do any photoshop work you can visualize what I mean.
I can't speak to the quality of the $1 screen protector. However, I can WRT the Lexerd. It was a perfect fit went on well and works as stated. I didn't find any differences in screen quality. Because mine is anti glare. Fingerprints do show in direct sunlight. Not sure how bad that was before the Lexerd went on. As for the quality of the camera. On my 2012 it was in the mirror. 2016 it's in the centre console. One of the first thing I noticed was the quality of the image. Not sure if this is because it's now in the console. The image is ok during the day. At night without light it seems to be worse then the 2012. I will put backup lights on the shackle mounts as I did in the 2012.
Mine is bad too. My wife drives a Hyundai Santa Fe with an 8" screen and the contrast is excellent. In my F150 I am unable to distinguish between the grass and the driveway unless it is extremely bright out. The Hyundai is no problem even at night. I read somewhere that they opted for cheaper cameras on the 2015s because nobody cares. Personally, I'd be willing to pay for an upgrade if one was available.
