Default Back-up camera compatibility?

Part number for my back up camera is FL3Z-19G490-D.
Anyone used any other non OEM parts that were just as good? Was quote $411 for a OEM replacement. Can't afford that at the moment but mine is getting worse.

I have bought for my F150 in the last few months and paid less. Take a look at fordpartsgiant.com and fordparts.com . The latter site actually takes you to a local dealer of your choice and that is where I found a better price.

On a side note, I have not seen any replacement camera that works 100% like an OEM. Folks complain of bad picture, poor nighttime, no lines and no compatibility with backup system with aftermarket.

That's fair. It's a bit cheaper on the one site, but I assume it's all American, which I'm in Canada. After conversion it would be just under the $400 mark.
May have to wait it out and save a bit and go OEM.

Thats what I did, I let it get really bad before I bought and then much to my surprise the price was a lot cheaper.

That may be my best bet. Mine is getting pretty bad, especially at night. Nearly impossible to make anything out.

For me, it blanked out while backing up and that was scary. You do realize how much you use these.

Very true. I typically use it to make sure I'm not too close to other vehicles, obstacles, etc. I mainly use my mirrors but with this wet weather coming it blows out the colours and everything which makes it hard to see. Daytime is better but still foggy. Been this way for a few years but now its worse. I'll probably order one from eBay from the US. The conversion is better than paying $400+ since I can install it myself.
