There is a thread somewhere here where many were discussing the hidden release on the back seat behind the driver. I watch several videos about that release and how easy it was to get your seat to fold down. Most videos showed a person lift up the bottom and at the same time you could see the back move up and out a small amount. The latch was easy to get to. Well Ford must have watched the videos also and decided to keep owners from not folding the seat down and redesigned the seat and latch for 2019. My seat is rock solid and does not move one fraction of an inch. You can not get to the latch from the sides, bottom, or the top. You can barely get you little finger in behind the seat back. Two hours of attempts today and nothing. So if you have a 2019 XLT and got yours to release and fold down, please show how you did it.
SuperCrew trucks, that trick works. SuperCab trucks, that trick does NOT work. I used a box end wrench to reach back there and just kept at it until I got lucky. I watched the video half a dozen times to try to find where I needed to be fishing. I finally succeeded.

I had the wrench and a strong hook in a wire for over two hours and nothing. I see your signature states 2017. I still think they changed the latch for 2019. Maybe not?
I went from a 2017 to a 2019 and they both have the same exact latch. While both were SCREWs, I doubt ford is installing two different latches depending on the cab. On a side note, I installed the BuiltRight latch on my Dads 2015 SCAB and it was a bit difficult to get my hand down the backside to find the little nubby... but it’s there. Good luck.

On videos: I have seen that one and many others. Late last night I was able to get my loop wire hooked on the small part that sticks out. I pulled on that wire until my fingers hurt. Nothing, no movement. It is so tight back there the only way to see is have the window open, stand on a short ladder, and look in from the back window with a flashlight. That way you can see the loop wire making contact with the release. Only problem, it won't release. Maybe my latch is a dead one.
My latch was very hard to open. Once I got it released, I found it was not positioned properly. I reset the seatback latch position when I installed the built-right strap, it opens a bit easier now, although it's still a pretty firm pull on the strap to release.
