Default Back in the game!

So after a couple year hiatus while I finished physical therapy school and began working full-time again, I’ve stepped back into a 2016 F150 XLT. Was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata, but am super excited to be back in a truck (now that I’ve been a homeowner it is much more handy when compared to the old sonata). This also is my first time with the ecoboost, as I’ve only had the 5.0 before.

”I’m going to leave this one pretty stock” - I tell myself and the wife. But until I break that promise, the biggest decision right now is if I want the Bakflip F1 or Peragon cover. So any input (or known discounts) is appreciated.

Looking froward to all your guys advice and awesome trucks!

Congrats and welcome.

Good accessories to start: floor mats, spray liner, and window tint.

Rear shocks if your rear end hops a lot. I changed my 2016 after 20k. Just got an 2018 and swapped the rears after 600 miles.

Already added tint-to-match on the two front windows and tossed in some Max Liners floor mats all around. Debated on bed covers but decided to give Peragon a try this time around. Seems like they wait awhile to ship, but hopefully can get it in soon and install so I can review it.

Today it will probably get its first wash and wax w/ Collinite in the 100 degree heat.

Congrats and welcome back, very nice truck. First thing I got when I got my 2015 xlt was some weather tech all weather floor mats, like them so far.

Did you actually order the Peragon yet? They belong to the forum and if you message them (username Peragon) they will send you an email with the discount code. I ordered mine on Thursday even though my truck is still in production and won't be delivered for another 11 days.

i remembered them having a presence on here and asked about it and they did provide me the code. So was able to get the forum discount and save a few $$$. Would love to get it on before our quick beach trip coming up but guess that depends on when they will ship

forgot how much of a process detailing a black truck can be. But pinstripes have been removed and she got a quick bath and wax today after work. I’ll try to toss another pic up soon

So decided after I got home tonight to start the Peragon cover install ... took me about 3 hours start to finish. Not too difficult to do on your own. An extra set of hands would help with placing the frame, but other than that pretty straight forward. Another challenge was not having great lighting lol

overall very impressed. I believe it should be more water resistant than my previous BakFlips. But time will tell. It definitely looks very nice

picture time ...

GAH! It looks awesome and you have me excited now. My Peragon will be here tomorrow. Only problem is my truck is still sitting at the factory waiting to be shipped. My basement is starting to pile up with boxes waiting for it.

What options did you end up picking? Any that you regret getting or not getting?

It is a very aesthetically pleasing cover lol

I went with quick clamps and tailgate seal. I think both are worth it. The quick clamps make it so easy to adjust and don’t have to drill. And the tailgate seal is probably overkill, but I’m going to put it on today.

I guess I’ve made this my unofficial Mod page..

recently took the armrest console off and replaced with a gray leather cover. Matches perfect and should get less stained and worn compared to the cloth one.
