Default Back in a FORD!!!

As previously owning a Fox body 5.0 for 10 years back in the day, I am happy to say I'm back in FORD!
Tonight I pick up a new 2016 F150 5.0 Screw 6.5' box XTR 4x4.
Having owned my 02 Tahoe since 2008, I plan to keep this F150 for 8 years too.
I got....
5.0
3.31 electronic locking axle
HD tow package
tow mirrors with LED sidelights
trailer brake controller
chrome this, chrome that...and if I remember correctly it's a 301A.
Cloth interior, front bench style seat as the wife thinks we'd need the 6th seat...sheesh.

Canadian, it was $50484 as built (and accessories added) and $6384 discount, so total was $44100 before tax and $1700 freight and $100 air conditioning charge!

I look fwd to reading through the forums and seeing mods, etc! What an addiction!

I will probably just install a tuner and canned tune as really my only mod...

Thanks for reading!

seems a bit high to me for an xtr
paid 54 for my 502a loaded screw 5.0 6.5 lariat... and it came with a 6 inch bds lift, 20 inch pro comp wheels , toyo at2 35's , flares, & rksport hood
i purchased mine in edmonton

its still a great truck, the only thing i wouldn't like is the 3.31(they really work against the 5.0 power band), but shouldn't be too bad if you're not putting heavier tires on etc

welcome .

Yeah, I won't be doing any mods like tires, etc....
The only things I pull are my 19' BassCat bassboat and my enclosed Triton snowmobile trailer....

Congrats!
I got a 2015 5.0 w/ 3.31's and I only tow 4-5 times a year and I lock out 6th and it tows nicely. I towed a 18 ft flatdeck with bobcat and excavator attachment.I came from a 08 f150 4 spd 3.73 gears. I've also had pallet of brick in the back and It handled it no problem. I wouldnt change a thing. I love the 3.31's. I'd never get 3.73 again unless I towed a lot or plowed snow with it. 3.55's would be great too.

0% financing isn't free. Always keep that in mind. There is usually a one time up front financing charge, or a fixed fee applied per month for each $1,000 financed. It's usually a relatively small amount, but it's there. Financing companies and banks are in the business to make money. They aren't charities and they don't give a damn about you. Even if you have an awesome credit score, great employment history and even good money management skills, you are still a risk to them. A low risk, but a risk none the less. The higher the risk, the more they'll charge to lend money. The lower the risk, the less they charge.

Ford financing, no fees....total price divided by 72 months (bi-weekly though).

So I bet when it's this option, they don't offer the bestest pricing on the vehicle itself....
Like I said though, not a big deal to me. Just glad to be moving ahead!!

Can't wait for tonight to pick it up!!!!

I'd check that fine print if I were you. When I see the ads for 0% financing it always says: "Financed through Ford Motor Credit" and that "x amount finance charge per month per $1,000 financed" in the fine print. The financing guys are pretty good about hiding the costs, but trust me it's there somewhere. I doubt the cost is hidden purely in the sticker price of the vehicle either. If you look hard enough, you'll find the price somewhere. They may have applied a rebate to the truck you didn't know about and hit you with the finance charge there. I'm not saying this is a big deal, or that you didn't get a good deal, but I wouldn't trust the math. You need to look at the paperwork line by line to know what's really going on.
