You got that right. We own a car seat but only for the grand baby.

I'm posting, just in case I missed something. It's a shame that they would leave this out.
I just went through the same thing with my car seat. Manual indicates only having latches on the window seats. Had to use the shoulder strap instead but not a problem. As it turns out a coworker has a 2015 Silverado that also does not have latches in the center. Not sure why they wouldn't have them.

Also even if your straps are long enough to reach the latch points with car seat in the middle, the manual states to check with ur car seat manual to make sure it's acceptable due to the angle of the the straps to those latches

I've been using the seatbelt with one rear facing car seat, and it has worked great so far. One issue I've had is that the middle seat now seems to be slanted downward so that it is noticeably lower than than single seat on the rear passenger side? Has anybody had a similar issue? Part of it seems to be the seat cushion is compressed, but it also looks like the seat itself is lower. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

If you can find a system like the multimac in the US, then that would be the way to go.

Worried the carseats will leave a permanent impression

Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t the anchor points to keep the car seats from leaning left & right? With 3 car seats across the back seat, that middle one ain’t leaning anywhere; to me a 3rd set of anchor points are not needed.

The LATCH system is not for keeping a child seat from leaning left or right. It is used for physically anchoring the seat to the car. So if you don’t use the LATCH points (or they aren’t available for the middle seat), then you have to use the seat belt per the child seat’s manual. One or the other.

Well, that's news to me. I've ALWAYS used the seatbelt to secure the car seats, then used the LATCH system to further secure/stabilize them.
